Message from Your Church Council

Hello from your Church Council,

We are entering into our fall/winter season and life is moving along, people are continuing to plan weddings, have babies, returning to church, schools, and work.  Even though we have been reentering life, it looks different, feels different, it IS different.

This carries over even into our church life.  As you are already aware, certain ministries in our church have been put on pause, due to Covid-19, and a lack of volunteers.  These ministries include, among others, Food Services, Hospitality, and both Men’s and Women’s Ministries.
However, we want to assure you that there are many ministries that are continuing, meeting safely and regularly.  These include Church Council, Trustee’s, Spiritual Life and Care, Global Missions, Christian Education, including an adult Sunday School class meeting on Wednesday evenings, Children’s Ministries, Baptism and Covenant Class, the Sewing Ladies, and Junior and Senior youth.

Even though we are in a season of uncertainty and upheaval, we can take heart, this is not a surprise to God and we can put our trust in him completely.
Know that as your Church Council we, along with our pastoral staff are working hard, praying continually and in the spirit, as we continue to seek after God and His will for our church.

In peace,

Your Church Council

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.  Forgive as the LORD forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.  And be thankful.  Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.  And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the LORD Jesus, giving thanks to God the a Father through him.
Colossians 3:12-17
